Hope For The Day Founder, Jonny Boucher boarded a flight to Europe this month to join our Partners in Prevention, Avocado Booking and Never Say Die! Tour for the 5th year of outreach and education across the UK/EU. The Never Say Die! Tour kicked off on November 2nd in Wiesbaden, Germany where Jonny spoke about suicide and mental health to an audience of fans, many of whom have undoubtedly experienced mental health challenges in their life.

The impact of Jonny speaking in front of these crowds is that it’s an opportunity to raise the visibility of resources and teach individuals from communities all over the world that It’s Ok Not To Be Ok. Globally, over 800,000 suicides are completed each year with suicide being the 2nd leading cause of death amongst individuals ages 15-29. In the UK alone, over 5,800 individuals died by suicide last year so it is imperative that we get in front of as many people as possible and let them know that there is a place for them here; that having a mental health challenge doesn’t mean it’s the end of their life and they have the power to address their mental health challenges before crisis.

We can’t thank Never Say Die! Tour enough for giving us a platform to break the silence of mental health stigma. The tour has traveled through the UK, France, and Holland with upcoming dates in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, and Belgium. With dedication to our proactive approach to provide outreach and education to all communities, during every show date HFTD’s EU/UK team will be making direct contact with people affected by mental health; handing out resource cards, talking to people about their mental health experiences, and showing the world that We Are In This Together.
