Beatkeepers Project

Hope for the Day | Beatkeepers Project

The BEATKEEPERS project is Hope For The Day’s creative education program focusing on empowering urban youth through musical and artistic expression. This project consists of 16-21 year old high-risk adolescents from low-income areas of Chicago coping with mental illness.

BEATKEEPERS inspires these individuals to confront suicide, community issues and oppression through lyric composition and beat making. BEATKEEPERS is a vehicle in which these youth can connect to their environment and build a stronger self identity. These experiences will give opportunities to vulnerable youth to grow them into inspiring members of our community.
